About Bible Navigators the Game
Bible Navigators is a game lesson plan through the Bible. Each handout
addresses 10 points kids need to memorize. The
following week you can play a game between two teams
and see who remembers the most bible facts to win
prizes (don't forget to have smaller prizes for the
losing team to reward them for trying).
The handouts (below) are for
the kids and the parent's note
is to give parents before the child goes home.
The handout is an attempt to keep parents in touch
with Bible lessons and encourages parents to become
the primary spiritual teacher of their child,
applying the week's lesson at home when the child is
out in the "real world."
Rules: How the Trivia
Game is Played
(1) Randomly assign kids to a team so that no
one is ever "stuck with a losing team."
(2) Give one child on each team a piece of
paper designating them as the member who can give
the final answer.
(3) Decide which team goes first buy having
them guess a number 1 through 5. Don't have
them guess 1 through 10 because this process can
take time.
(4) The team guessing the right number gets
to answer the question. If they answer it
correctly, they get 2 points. If they don't
answer correctly, the other team gets to answer for
1 point. If no one gets the answer, the
teacher explains the correct one and move on to the
next question.
(5) Points can be removed for misbehavior as
the teacher sees fit. This is a great
order-keeping tool!
(6) After each question, have the designated
child on each team pass the piece of paper to the
person on their right and repeat from step 3.
Everyone should at least have a chance to guess 1
though 5 (if your class is smaller than 15 kids).
Other rules: Repeat steps until all 10
questions have been answered. Kids are allowed to
help each other answer the question, but only the
designated child (the one with the paper) can have
the final answer. Have prizes for both teams, but
the winning team should always get a better prize.
(8) When the
game is done, begin your lesson for the next week's
trivia game.
Our kids curriculum
handouts are free.
Handouts are downloadable in a MS Word format, and teachers are able
to modify and alter them according to the class'
specific needs. Do not sell this material.
